Cheating on the Rise
On the lecture circuit, one of the most frequent questions I'm asked is: "Are more students cheating today, or is it simply easier to detect cheating?" Sadly, we may now have an answer: cheating does indeed appear to be on the rise. As Richard Perez-Pena reported on Friday in the New York Times, not only is cheating on the rise, but "high achievers are just as likely to do it as others." If you're a parent, what do you teach your children about cheating? If you don't have kids, what is the solution, in your view, to this problem?I'd love to know, so please post your response below! In case you missed it, here's recent CNN report on cheating at Harvard.Thank you for reading my blog.
